Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is one of the big names on the list of transfer targets at Liverpool ahead of the January transfer window. This is according to the report from the stables of English publication Daily Star. It was revealed that Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards has compiled his list of transfer targets ahead of the New Year and Croatian international Brozovic features on it.
The long-term future of Brozovic at Inter Milan is in doubt, but the latest reports emanating from the Italian media has said that the priority of the Serie A champions is to tie the Liverpool target to a new deal. Sky Sports Italia media personnel Gianluca Di Marzio said on his show earlier this week that Italian champions Inter Milan have turned their focus on the contract renewal of Brozovic and other important players in their squad.
Brozovic is not the only Italian Serie A player on Michael Edwards’ list of transfer targets. Another one on the said list is Torino Gleison Bremer.
Liverpool official Edwards will leave his sporting director role at the end of this season and he wants to leave with a bang by making some quality signings in the January transfer window to boost the Reds in their quest to meet their targets this season and also cover for the imminent absence of their African stars namely Sadio Mane, Naby Keita and Mohamed Salah. The three players would be away with their respective nations for some weeks at the AFCON (African Cup of Nations) tournament in Cameroon.
The attacking duo of Arnaut Danjuma and Fabio Carvalho are also Liverpool targets ahead of the resumption of the transfer window. Dutch winger Danjuma is on the books of reigning Europa League winners Villarreal in the Spanish La Liga, while Carvalho is a Fulham player.
